Online voting

Online voting built for Ghanaian events

Set up categories and nominees, open voting to the public, and take votes by Mobile Money or USSD. Results update live and your earnings are yours to withdraw.

How paid voting works on Mould

You set the price of a vote. Supporters find your event, pick a nominee, choose how many votes they want, and pay with Mobile Money. Every payment produces a receipt they can check later, and every vote is counted against the nominee immediately.

  • Set your own price per vote in Ghana cedis
  • Voters pay with Mobile Money — no card needed
  • Bulk vote packages for supporters who want to buy in volume
  • A receipt for every payment, checkable by reference

Two ways to vote, one set of results

Not everyone who wants to vote for your nominee will be online. Mould counts web votes and USSD votes into the same tally, so a supporter with a smartphone and a supporter with a feature phone both reach the same leaderboard.

  • Web voting from any browser, shareable by link
  • USSD voting from any phone, no data required
  • Contestant codes so voters can go straight to a nominee
  • One leaderboard covering every channel

What organisers control

You decide what the public sees. Show or hide vote counts, percentages and trending nominees while voting is open, and reveal full results when you are ready. Voting can be paused at any point without ending the event.

  • Show or hide live vote counts and percentages
  • Reveal results on your own schedule
  • Pause voting without closing the event
  • Set minimum and maximum votes per order

Getting paid

Earnings accumulate against your event as votes come in. You can see what each category and nominee has generated, and request a withdrawal to your own account. Commission is deducted at a rate agreed on your package, with nothing hidden at the end.

  • Live earnings breakdown by event and category
  • Withdrawal requests with tracked status
  • Transaction history you can reconcile against receipts

Common questions

How much does it cost to run a voting event in Ghana?
There is no upfront fee to set up an event. Mould takes a commission on the votes you sell, at the rate set by your event package. You keep the rest and withdraw it to your own account.
Can people vote without internet access?
Yes. Mould supports USSD voting, so a supporter can vote from any phone by dialling a short code — no smartphone and no data bundle required. Those votes count into the same total as web votes.
Which payment methods can voters use?
Voters pay with Mobile Money. This is the payment method most Ghanaian supporters already use, and it means nobody needs a bank card to take part.
Can I stop people from seeing the results while voting is open?
Yes. You control whether vote counts, percentages and trending nominees are visible to the public, and you can keep full results hidden until you choose to reveal them.
How do voters check that their vote went through?
Every payment produces a receipt with a reference number. Voters can look up that reference at any time to confirm the votes were counted.
